& it's just miie and...

Wow... I feel that my trip to bintan was indeed as fulfilling as I thought it'd would be and in God's grace, I feel very satisfied abt it. Yes, our 1st day there was exciting because we didn't know what 'wonders' of Bintan where waiting for us and couldn't really wait to explore the place. Anyway, we settled into our rooms, had a quick change of clothes and headed straight down for dinner. It was already evening when we reached bintan actually. The dinner was supposed to boost our energy at least a little. Instead, dinner turned out to be a disappointment. I mean, the food there was quite uncooked, I guess that that's the way it should have been and so, we didn't really fill our stomachs much. Thank goodness we brought along plenty of cup noodles and snacks!

Second day was a lot more to our liking! We went down to the seashore, no swimming sign was put up because the currents were too strong. My sisters and I went for a spa and massage which was really, really, really a very rejuvenating experience and I felt so revitalised after it. We played pool and at the arcade which were all located at the leisure centre. Then, we booked a car and headed down to town where we did some shopping and had lunch at this authentic restaurant where we tasted sumptous indo food. Then, we all relaxed ourselves by going for a foot reflexology. It was really funny there because all the while, the one who was massaging my feet was cracking jokes and making all of us laugh. I also have to say that the ginger drink they serve was commendable. Finally, we stopped by at a local KFC and bought back some food. Later, when we reached our hotel, I felt so tired. We then had dinner and watched some local shows. End of day 2.

Day 3's breakfast was really very yummy! I ate to my fill and felt guilty after that. Later, we went down to the swimming pool where my nephew finally got to do what he was really looking forward to throughout the whole trip. Then, we took a bus with some other tourists to Pasar oleh-Oleh where we did all our last minute shopping for souveniers. That was the end of the whole trip. Of course there was one thing that I dreaded most: The journey back to our homeland. As much as I was looking forward to get to my precious, comfy, secure bed, I was feeling really nauseas. Yes, I am sea-sick! Furthermore, I was so unfortunate because all of a sudden one of the ferry's generators was down and for some time we were just floating on the spot before the engine was running again and I felt so, so, ugh! It was indeed an ordeal. Anyway, right now I'm happy that I'm back on my bed, recalling these moments wihtout any regrets.

Love,

NisA*
